The National Weather Service says storms are developing and could hit Washtenaw and Livingston counties this evening.
Meteorologists say the strongest chance for storms will occur before 8 p.m., especially along and south of M-59.

The Southeast Michigan Council of Governments declared today an Ozone Action day.
Ozone Action is the voluntary pollution reduction program that encourages people to make low-cost clean air choices as warmer temperatures and humidity come around and to take emission-reducing steps.
Overnight storms knock out electricity to parts of Bridgeport Township, Frankenmuth

This morning, 285 were still without electricity, Gust said. The majority are in the northern portion of Bridgeport Township and southeast of Frankenmuth, she said.
"We had a lot of lightning and some tree damage," said Consumers spokeswoman Debra Dodd.
She expects all customers will have their power restored by midnight or earlier today.
Severe storm watch in effect for Washtenaw, Livingston counties

The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for this evening for five counties - including Washtenaw and Livingston.
The watch is in effect until 10 p.m.
That could impact the first day of the popular Ann Arbor Art Fairs - although organizers say they're prepared for all kinds of weather.

The National Weather Service has cancelled the severe thunderstorm watch for the local area, including Washtenaw County.
Meteorologists say the storm has passed to the south.
However, there's still a slight chance of storms later this evening.
