Once again, for the third time, the Wyoming Planning Commission has unanimously recommended that the City Council deny Mike Speedy's rezoning request that would allow him to build apartments along Wilson Avenue south of 52nd Street. This time his request involved a child care center out front, but did not include the residence of Barb Canfield, who would now be completely surrounded by the development.

A biosolids spill was costly for Wyoming.
In the early morning hours of July 14, the east storage tank at the Clean Water Plant began to overflow with biosolids covering the ground and a low lying area east of the storage tank, according to Superintendent Tom Kent.

Kent's 1955 Porsche 356 will tour 28th Street Friday night.While on tour for their "Afterburner" album, ZZ Top's lead singer and guitarist Gibbons and drummer Beard had replicas of the 1955 Porsche 356 Speedster built. But the time consuming project took longer than Beard had the patience for and Gibbons found himself with twin convertibles.
