It was evident early on, as Bay County residents began lining up an hour early in 30-degree weather, that the second Bay County Project Connect was going to be larger than planned. Organizers planned for 500 people; the final count was more than 750. (About 400 people had attended the first Project Connect.) The event, sponsored by Good Samaritan Rescue Mission, gathered a variety of services - from flu shots to food baskets - to help families in need.
